The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) has unveiled the “Geologic Atlas of the Lunar Globe,” the world’s first high-definition geologic atlas of the entire Moon. The atlas identifies 12,341 craters, 81 basins, and 17 rock types, presenting a detailed view of the Moon’s surface, its geological structures, and tectonic features.

The atlas includes:

  • Detailed Geological Maps: Covering the entire lunar surface, these maps provide a closer look at the Moon’s geological and lithological characteristics.
